SmithBayes Appoints Greg Meekings as Chairman

SmithBayes, the leading edge supplier of strategy analytics solutions to Global 2000 corporations is pleased to announce that it has appointed Greg Meekings as Non Executive Chairman.

Meekings, formerly CIO of Reuters, brings with him 30 years of industry experience which includes several start up companies as well as global divisional revenue and profit responsibility within Reuters.

Commenting on his appointment as Chairman Meekings says, "The challenges of responding to change intelligently in today’s fast-paced and highly uncertain business environment have never been higher. Increasingly, successful companies will be those that are able to respond to shifting circumstances faster than their competitors.

Greg’s recent executive roles, undertaken as part of his time spent at Reuters, include:

  • 2002 CIO Reuters plc and member of the Group Operating Committee
  • 2001 Managing Director, Global Services
  • 1999 Managing Director, Global Sales and Operations, Reuters Trading Systems
  • 1996 Managing Director, Corporate Technology Group and member of the Executive Committee
  • Prior to his time at Reuters Greg co-founded two start-ups and developed the Automation & Controls business for Logica plc.
